Lounge  in the Sky

The Alumni Industry Interaction Center aims to create a community that promotes interaction between the alumni and faculty of various IITs, as well as between the alumni, faculty and industry. The Center in its former avatar functioned from a 4500 sq. ft. location in a quiet and sylvan neighbourhood in the heart of Chennai. The new facility is located at the IIT Madras Research Park and has become operational from April 2020, offering a large range of facilities and spread over 20,000 sq.ft of covered space and an additional 10000 sq. ft of open space.

A Great Place to Network

Given the calm surroundings and facilities, the Alumni Industry Interaction Center is the perfect place for one to network with alumni, research assistants and faculty from the various IITs, representatives from the industry, professionals from the fields of art and technology and resident corporates from the IIT Madras Research Park. Also, an ideal location where one can reconnect with old friends and make new ones, learn from the expertise and knowledge of leaders in various fields and share your expertise as well.

Special Interest and Activities

Interested in learning the nuances of Jazz, Carnatic music, art, etc.? Read a great book recently and wanting to discuss it? Looking to play a round of Bridge? The Alumni Industry Interaction Center has a range of activities taking place including art exhibitions, music workshops, book clubs, bridge tournaments, talk shows, food tasting events, quiz programs, Beer Fests, Cheese & Wine tasting and fun events to name a few.

One for the Taste Buds

Feeling a little hungry? Had a long day at work? The Center offers you a wide range of cuisine options, ranging from authentic South Indian to Gujrati khana, Punjabi delicacies. Vegetarian & Non Vegetarian options are available either Indoors or Outdoors – the choice is yours.

Wine & Dine

IIT AIIC has a well-stocked Tavern with an array of friendly bartenders. Watch them juggle with fire, toss and cart-wheel bottles in the air. The place is cozy, the ambience Is superb and the feeling is fine. Enjoy..!

Be the host

IIT AIIC has a coffee shop as well as a restaurant setting, along with meeting rooms which offer private dining experience. Open through the day, this can also serve as your late evening rendezvous point. The menu card has amouth-watering array of finger food and main course dishes. Just land up and dig in. The Center is an ideal spot for hosting private events – birthday parties, batch get-togethers, meetings and conferences. Our banquet facilities will make your events memorable. We offer Outdoor Catering Services also on request.

Clean accommodation at compellingly attractive rates

Members residing outside Chennai & Overseas can also enjoy comfortable accommodation available at highly compelling competitive rates. As a member of the IIT AIIC, you will have access to several Reciprocal Clubs. When you travel for business or pleasure, you can use a reciprocal club for overnight accommodations, dining rooms, meeting rooms and much more. While away, make one of our Reciprocal Clubs your home. Work is underway to tie up with several clubs globally - alumni clubs, as well as social clubs of repute, where our members would be eligible to use them on a reciprocal basis.
